Callaway Golf Brand

Callaway is a American athletic goods company, specializing in golf gear and accessories that are sold in over 70 nations worldwide. They’re located in California and are the biggest maker of golf clubs.

Callaway creates golf clubs, bags, watches, shoes, headwear, practice guides, travel gear and rangefinders, which can be found through athletic goods retailers, golf retailers and online.

In 2003, Spalding’s golf branch was declared bankrupt and consequently, Callaway is currently promoting products under the Strata and Ben Hogan brands, picked up throughout this time. They also obtained the Odyssey putter brand in 1997.

Back in 2003, Callaway bought Top-Flite Golf in addition to its Ben Hogan Golf branch. They faced strong competition from Adidas and the transfer finally cost Callaway Golf $169m. Then they sold the Top-Flite brand to Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2012, because of declining sales.
